I wanted this headset because my old ANC headset was falling apart. I use this kind of headset when I am traveling and when I am in a noisy room so they get a lot of use. The price of these headsets vary all over the map but you usually get what you pay for. I found a few exceptions to that rule including overpriced gaming headsets with poor ANC properties.
These headsets arrive in excellent shape and the instructions were easy to follow. I connected them to my gaming laptop and my android cell phone with ease. The headset is well made of quality materials and seems very durable. I found the Active Noise Cancelling properties to be excellent, working best at the medium frequencies but still hanging in there at lower and higher frequencies. The audio quality is great. The microphone quality is surprisingly good for a mic that is not on a boom.
I seldom use the pass-thru audio feature because I find it most annoying. I would rather take the headset off, but my grandson switches back and forth all the time. Yes, my grandson has laid claim to these headsets, and I will never get them back again. The only other negative is the earmuff size. The earmuffs are smaller than optimal for my large ears, so ear fatigue starts to hit me after a few hours of wear. This is not a problem for my grandson who is fourteen.
Overall, I found this headset to exceed my expectations, and the quality is excellent for the price.
