It's smallish and compact, so fits in the cupboard when not being used if needed.

I would prefer if the inside was removable to make it easier to empty and clean when needed.

I will update this review if needed.

Crystals Electric Deep Fat Fryer 2.5L: This little fryer represents great value for money for those who require a smaller unit. It’s ideal for 1-2 people and will cook your food of choice to a nice succulent level by using the thermostat to control the heat.

I’ve cooked fish, chips and breaded chicken, so far, and they’ve come out really well, just need to work out the right heat and timings - so best to keep an eye until you get used to it’s function.

The fryer has all the essentials for safety, the lid closes securely, the basket handle is secure and the thermostat seems to be effective. The oil vat is also very durable and easy to clean. I think the only other thing I’d wish for is the ability to remove the vat rather than have to man-handle the whole unit when you want to empty it. That said, you often need to do that even with some of the very expensive ones.

I’d not use this very often but it’s really nice to have for those odd occasions with out the need for too much investment. On a par I’d say this is a very good buy, It’s small enough to make storage easier than for most fryer units and for under £40 its well made, good quality and it’s very easy to operate. 👍

This fryer has a sleek, compact design that fits perfectly in my kitchen without taking up too much space. It heats up fairly quickly, and the basket is easy to handle, making it a convenient option for quick meals. While it may take a little longer to achieve the desired crispiness compared to larger fryers, the results are still satisfying for everyday use. It’s perfect for those looking for an easy-to-use, space-saving fryer that gets the job done for light cooking. Overall, it’s a great addition to my kitchen for quick snacks and meals.

My last deep fryer has had its day after a decade, so I was glad to get this one from the Amazon Vine program.

I’m not on the whole a kitchen gadget person, I don’t even own a microwave oven, but getting deep fried food right is one of the most difficult things to do as a cook, especially with stuff like beignets and donuts, so for me while it is used very occasionally it’s a must have.

This is a standard 2.5 litre model, I am not sure why they are describing it as ‘mini’ - it will do a family batch of cops or a couple of fish in one go. It is pretty basic - there’s a temperature setting but no timing, and the inner is not removable so when it’s time to change the oil you have to take the whole shebang over to the bin* , but at under 40 quid this is a pretty typical spec.

The grey colour doesn’t really suit my kitchen, but it’s not the sort of device that’s going to be permanently on the worktop, so that doesn’t really matter. It is a very contemporary colour that many will like.

So, a fairly standard fryer for the price, but some might find the colour and styling makes it a preferred choice, Recommended.

This 2.5L small electric deep fryer is compact and suitable for small families or individuals. With adjustable temperature and mesh basket, it is easy to operate and can meet various frying needs. At the same time, the easy-to-clean design and safety handle make it safer to use. The white appearance is simple and stylish, which is very suitable for daily use in the kitchen.
